This list is unfortunately incorrect. Ward 4-1 and 4-2 are not at the Higgins this year do to construction. The Correct Polling locations are:
4-1 Calvary Baptist Church, 4 Coolidge Road
4-2 Smith Barn, 38 Felton Street
I hope no one read the incorrect information here and tried to vote at the Higgins!
Thanks for the correction. My bad for trusting what I saw in the Patch!
Voted this morning at the Burke School. I noticed at least 10 signs out front warning people NOT to bring cell phones in the building. As soon as I walked in, there was a police officer standing inside on a cell phone.
Hmmm … wonder why the city is banning cell phones in the polls? Did something happen last election?
Voted at Burke and live near the West. Only sign holders I saw in West Peabody were for Ted Speliotis. Where is this Lyons guy? Is he going to try to win or what?
Bob, any catastrophes today at the schools while people were voting? Was Brandi keeping an eye on things making sure everything went well?
OK all of you professional political pundits out there…I have a question. Where do you all look to get the quickest, most accurate election results?
Come back here in a little while. I’m going to do my best to get results fast as possible in both the Congressional primary and the Peabody state rep primary.
3% in Moulton 51% Tierney 41%
Moulton and Dunne won Ward 1 Peabody. Beverley won Ward 1 by 25%
Salem News reporting on Twitter that Tierney won Gloucester by 9%
Still trying to get the margin of victory, but Beverley Dunne has won the state rep race over Demo Moutsoulas.
More results:
Moulton trounced Tierney in Danvers, 1321-800
Moulton leading 917-899 in Salem with 6 of 14 precincts in
Tierney out!!! Moulton in!!! Yipeeeee
OG says…congrats to Beverly Dunne on her victory….and as we look ahead to the upcoming battle with Leah Cole it could get very interesting…should be a bit of change seeing two female candidates square off against one another…a relatively young incumbent vs. an older candidate with a long history of political involvement…let’s how this story plays out in the time ahead….Leah better eat her Wheaties because she will be tested and Beverly should not underestimate this young incumbent…and that’s how OG sees it.
Bev by a landslide in Nov. Leah hasn’t really done anything while Bev has proven herself on SC.
Bev is a nice woman but I don’t feel she would do as good of a job as Leah. Everyone under estimated Leah and she has done a great job. I truly believe people should not be in politics for any long period of time and as much as Bev cares and think she will do the right thing her ideology is clouded for the numbers of years she has served. I have heard many times in school committee meetings how she thinks and I do not feel our state house needs another elected official feeling we can continue to tax and spend instead of truly looking at the budget and cutting stuff that does not make sense. Also the fact that she takes a picture with Tierney at the polls and posts it shows what group she is a part of….
She took a picture with who? Tierney ? Who is that?
Well except for the Ward 6 councilor all the elected officials in Peabody from the Mayor on down supported the wrong candidates! What does that tell you. They all follow the wrong lead starting with Tiernney then to Grossman, Tolman and Lake.
