Council set to sign off on a billboard for Bourbon Street?

If you live on Bourbon Street, and found the giant billboard around the corner and next to the Subway on Lowell Street offensive, get ready to be even more annoyed closer to your front door.

CBS Outdoor will go before the Peabody City Council on April 29th to seek a special permit to erect a giant, electronic billboard at 8 Bourbon Street. The billboard madness continues.

If you live in that neighborhood, call your ward councilor, Joel Saslaw, and tell him to stop voting to approve these eyesores. Mr. Saslaw, after all, has already approved THREE of these new signs in the ward since taking office in January.

The City of Peabody residents have “their city councilors” to thank for this>

This Saslaw character talks to Gamache on a regular basis and is taking his orders from Dave. This guy Saslaw isn’t exactly the brightest bulb. I have seen him in action, and his lack of knowledge on most subjects in the city is embarrassing. He sells Yellow Pages ads for a living so he isn’t exactly Warren Buffet when it comes to business knowledge. Gamache is sharp, so watch out for him. He isn’t in office anymore but he is still just as powerful now that he is telling Joel how to vote on issues involving his old Route 1 buddies.

Rumor has it Dave Mcgeney is pushing the mayor to get the building facility manager job. I don’t think either of them have a college degree! What a joke!

Please don’t compare real genius intellect with a copy machine salesman who helped destroy our school system and a yellow pages ad salesman who loves billboards.

No. There’s a problem with WordPress today. Several posts are not showing up. I still have them, though, and they tell me they’re looking into the problem. Just a glitch. I’ll get them back. Thanks for letting me know. though.
